week kayak course adventure |
| This
course is taking you from beginner level to a river running kayaker
in seven fun and challenging days! You get to paddle two great Himalayan
Rivers! |
 |
The
course starts out with a few days at the Royal Beach Camp. We start
with the basics, depending on the level of your kayaking experience.
If you have never tried kayaking this is where it starts. The first
days covers how to get in and out of the boat, basic paddling and
rescue techniques and essential safety training. We also train ferry
glide (crossing the river) and getting in and out of eddies. We continue
with learning the Eskimo-roll, surfing waves and advanced paddling
and rescue techniques. We paddle up to class III white water on our
"home-river" Trisuli. When we feel comfortable with our
basic skills we set off from the camp and go river running! We continue
practicing our skills as we paddle two different rivers in the remaining
days. Trisuli and Seti are offering up to class III thrilling whitewater.
The river running part of the course is done expedition style and
we are camping on the riverbank! A true Himalayan Adventure!
